Munkelva is a river in Sør-Varanger municipality, approximately 8 km from Neidenbrua along European Route 6 towards Kirkenes. It originates in the plateaus northeast of Lake Inari in Finland and flows into Munkefjorden, at the innermost part of Neidenfjorden. The river is 51.8 kilometers long. European Route 6 crosses the river at Munkbakken near its mouth.
