Giđđa (spring in Sami)
April-May. Snow-covered white landscape and the sun begins to warm. The reindeer migrate down to the calving areas by the coast and the migratory birds return. For the Sea Sami in the area, this is the time to prepare moorings and nets and for sea fishing for salmon. This is a great time for skiing or snowmobiling to icy waters in the area. Holes are drilled in the ice and with jig you can get nice char and trout.
